Built in 1906 as the Savings & Trust Bank.

Rising three stories above W. Main Street in the heart of Washington’s historic waterfront district, the old bank now begins its second life — carefully renovated over two years as a boutique hotel.

The restoration preserved everything that makes the building itself: original flooring, exposed plaster walls, brick, transoms, doors, fixtures and millwork — now joined by an elevator and every modern comfort.

Owners Katherine and Warren Allen and their team transformed eight neglected office spaces into six elegantly refurbished studios and suites — the story of Washington, NC, told through six historic suites.

1906 Bistro &
Bourbon Bar

A welcoming space on the first floor of the hotel — handcrafted cocktails, beer and wine, and one of the largest bourbon collections in the state of North Carolina.
